Maxwell Burnstein is a Toronto based creative strategist, content marketer, and visual artist with 10 years of experience spanning brand development, strategic partnerships, content strategy, and art direction across hospitality, luxury, beauty, and lifestyle brands.

At 1Milk2Sugars, he leads content strategy and account execution across hospitality, beauty, skincare, home, and lifestyle brands. His work includes leading digital content and social strategy for W New York – Union Square, where he supported the launch and opening of the brand’s flagship hotel in New York and helped build it into the number one social media performer across the W Hotels portfolio.

Maxwell has built a multidisciplinary career that bridges art, commerce, and cultural storytelling. His background spans brand partnerships, influencer and UGC campaigns, editorial planning, creative development, and client facing account management, with a strong focus on shaping brand voice and translating positioning into compelling digital and cultural programs.

Alongside his strategy work, Maxwell maintains an active practice as an analog collage artist. Working entirely by hand, he transforms printed photography into layered surrealist compositions using traditional collage techniques and X-Acto knife methods. His work explores landscape, environment, and visual perception, and brings a distinct creative perspective to the brand and editorial projects he develops.

His artwork and creative collaborations have been commissioned by global brands including 1 Hotels, Audi, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, along with a broader range of luxury, fashion, and hospitality partners. His work has also appeared in leading international publications including ELLE, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, Interview, and Vogue.
